On behalf of Oxfordshire County Council, and as one of the engineers responsible for the delivery of the resurfacing scheme along the B4450 Station Road, Kingham, I like to contact the local parish councils directly to inform and discuss logistics, as this tends to make the scheme run smoother. Am aware you should be consulted as part of the TTRO process but always like to make sure. Apologies if I have inadvertently missed anyone, but happy for this to be forwarded on as you see fit.
Location:
OCC have programmed to complete the full width resurfacing of a section of the B4450 Station Road between the junction with the B4450 Churchill Road and the junction with the Old Burford Road, nr Bledington. Please note that the road will be closed at these junctions but the actual resurfacing will be carried out between the Railway Bridge and the County boundary at the River Evenlode. This is purely a maintenance scheme so currently everything will be reinstated ‘like for like’. I have attached a copy of the GA drawing showing the agreed scope for your reference and the local diversion route which has been approved by both the Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire Network teams.
Dates & times:
Works will be carried out via a series of x2 consecutive overnight road closures; commencing Wednesday 19th August with working hours each shift being 20:00 – 06:00Hrs .
Works therefore include 2 nights work on Wed 19th & Thurs 20th August.
Works have been programmed for overnight, as with the railway station along this stretch of carriageway, we are aware this is extremely busy for both commuter and business traffic during normal working hours.
Access Arrangements:
The Parish Council Minutes are signed and approved at the following Meeting. Below, you will find minutes of meetings that have been approved, and the draft minutes of the most recent meeting.
The Annual Parish Meeting is held once a year, in March, after the normal Parish Council Meeting – the previous years Annual Parish Meeting minutes are signed and approved.
In March the Parish Council Meeting starts at 7.00 pm, to allow for the Annual Parish Meeting to start at 7.30 pm – in the Village Hall, West Street, Kingham.
